Commercial Venue Licence

This licence explains how a business may use DJ Cat music at its venue. Standard DJ Cat listening is available free of charge; a paid plan is optional and adds extra venue features.
What is covered
A business may play the standard DJ Cat stream or approved standard channel as background music at its venue without a subscription. DJ Cat confirms it holds the commercial-use rights required for the DJ Cat music it supplies. A paid plan is needed only for the additional features described in the selected order, such as the signed-in venue listening experience, a branded or dedicated venue player, announcements, venue controls or customised music.
What is not covered
The licence does not cover the following:
- Third-party music, video, logos or request material not supplied or approved by DJ Cat.
- Resale, file redistribution, sublicensing or use at unregistered locations.
- Terrestrial transmission, rebroadcasting or regulated activity outside the ordered service.
- Taxes, permits or independent operating duties of the venue.
Free plan
Free listening and standard business use are always available without a subscription and use the standard DJ Cat channels. Public channels remain music-first but may include occasional DJ Cat moments, giveaways, branded visual content, sponsorship or product placement. Businesses may upgrade whenever they want for optional venue features; upgrading is not required to keep listening.
Venue referrals
If a customer uses a code issued by a venue, DJ Cat may retain the customer's email and code attribution to provide customer-song history, aggregate venue reach reporting and the limited referral commission described in the Terms of Service. This does not make the venue a public affiliate or give it access to unrelated customer accounts.
End of paid features
Paid venue features end when the selected plan expires or is terminated. Standard free listening and business use continue. Rights expressly granted for delivered custom-song files continue according to that written order.
